The Var Coast

The Var Coast

From Bandol to Cavalaire, landscapes with multiple reliefs between the sea and the mountain, signposted trails following beaches, coves, wild creeks, pine forests and undergrowths... always with a breathtaking panorama over the sea and the rocks of the shore caressed by the streams.

The renowned seaside resorts:

  • Saint-Cyr / Les Lecques
  • Bandol
  • Sanary-sur-Mer

Hyères: Situated between Toulon and Le Lavandou, Hyères is the southernmost town of the Provence. For its charm, climate and exceptional landscapes, it is a privileged site. The marina with its natural harbour sheltered by the islands is a first-class sailing center.

The Golden islands: Treasures of the Var coast, the three Golden islands, off the natural harbour of Hyères, are the jewels of this part of the coastline. Full of history and remains from a rich past, they are also very pleasant for sightseeing all year round.

Le Lavandou: 12 kilometers of coast where beaches and creeks meddle in with the azure, amethyst and turquoise colors of the sea. 12 beautiful fine sand beaches,

The Rayol Canadel: situated in the westernmost part of the coast of the Massif des Maures, the Rayol Canadel is not a village but a real garden, consisting of 400 species imported from all around the world and representing 80% of the town's surface. Facing the sea, the Rayol Canadel is made of terraces with mutilpe stairs from which you can see magnificent Mediterranean-style properties. It has surprises in store for the visitors that no one could imagine.

Cavalaire-sur-Mer is situated between Saint-Tropez and Le Lavandou, at the back of the bay of the same name, and at the foot of the first slopes of the Massif des Maures.

The bay of Cavalaire is surrounded by two capes, the Cap Cavalaire in the West and the Cap Lardier in the East.

Known as a sea resort, it consists of two types of beaches: thebay's beach, a 3 km long sea beach, and the creeks west of the Cap Cavalaire, such as Bonporteau, or La Nasque, in the Hamlet of the Dattier.

The Mediterranean climate and exceptional annual sunshine (around 3.000 hours) of the Var coast explain partly sweetness of its lifestyle...
