An authentic fishing harbour, nestled between sea and mountain

Sanary-sur-Mer, an authentic fishing harbour situated in the heart of the Provence, is nestled between sea and mountain. With its two neighbouring cities of Bandol and Six-Fours - Le Brusc, it is summertime as well as wintertime sought after for its Provençal traditions and its gentle lifestyle.

A city of contrasts

Sanary offers a diversified environment, from the coastline with its various maritime landscapes (cliffs, coves, sandy beaches, rocky points…) to the Piémont du Gros Cerveau, through an authentic Provençale countryside. A city of lights and contrasts, Sanary offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes and colours : the blue of the sea and the purple of the cliffs near Port-Issol, La Cride…, the green of the garrigues, wild hills in the hinterland, orchards where you find at the same time the AOC Bandol’s vines and the century-old olive trees in the area of La Piole, Sainte-Trinide. Not to forget the harbour and its salty smells, where the rowboats, including the famous “pointus”, shelter from the wind of the Provence, the Mistral, and the pedestrian streets with their shady public squares.

Oriented to the sea

From the marina, the thrill seekers will be able to venture into deep waters for a day of deep sea fishing, whereas the lovers of calm and peace will cast their line out from the pier or go on an outing to visit the îles des Embiez, the Île de Bendor and the Cassis coves.

A city with a sportive and cultural spirit

The sports, nautical and other activities are quite present in Sanary. Namely the renowned 18-hole golf of Dolce Fregate, situated in Saint-Cyr-Les Lecques or else, the car circuit of Le Castellet. Sanary-sur-Mer is quite easily accessible by the airports of Marseilles-Provence, Toulon-Hyères, and also by the private airport of Le Castellet, not to forget its proximity to the fast TGV train stations of Toulon, Aix or Marseille.

A very dynamic real estate market

This attractiveness makes the real estate market in Sanary very dynamic. The prices per sqm vary according to the districts. You can as well find some authentic stone mas (farmhouses)

nestled in the fields of vines and olive trees, as  some patrician houses along the coastlines, or else contemporary villas and apartments overlooking the harbour.
